E-Rate and OUSF Trainings

The Oklahoma State Department of Education, the Oklahoma Corporation Commission Public Utility Division and Office of Management and Enterprise Services are offering E-Rate and OUSF training for schools and libraries. The training will also feature an update on OpenRange services provided by the state.

The OUSF portion of the training will cover OUSF requirements, estimating funding, common pitfalls and errors, reasons for reductions or denials, requesting preapproval, requesting funding, changing funding and affidavit walk-through.

The E-Rate portion of the training will cover completing the bidding process and making a cost-effective selection, filing the FCC Form 471 with service detail, responding to PIA requests, document retention and knowing when to file various FCC forms to keep funding.

Please note: Even if you use a consultant for E-Rate and OUSF, you are encouraged to attend so that you will know why your consultant is asking for certain information.
