Individual Career Academic Plan

Individual Career and Academic Plan (ICAP) means an individualized plan developed

by the student and the student’s parent or legal guardian, in collaboration with their school counselors, school administrators, teachers and other school personnel, that is used to help establish personalized academic and career goals, explore postsecondary career and educational opportunities, align course work and curriculum, apply to postsecondary institutions, secure financial aid and ultimately enter the workforce. Beginning in the year 2019 - 2020 all entering freshman must complete an ICAP in order to graduate high school.

 

Apprenticeships, Internships and Mentorships

In order to provide students with more meaningful experiences in high school and encourage the smooth transition from high school to post - secondary opportunities OSDE offers two opportunities for high school Juniors and Seniors to earn credit towards graduation by participating in internships.
 
College and Career Endorsements
70 O.S. § 11-103.6k
In collaboration between Oklahoma State Department of Education, Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education and the Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology shall develop college and career endorsements for the purpose of providing a clear pathway to a career.
