ELEVATE: ConnectED to Technology

In southwest Oklahoma City, students at Arthur Elementary were given a big upgrade.

Arthur Elementary was selected to be a part of the ConnectEd Initiative. Arthur was one of 114 schools across the nation chosen and the only school selected in Oklahoma.

The ConnectEd Initiative supplies each student with his or her own iPad to be used at school and at home. Every teacher receives an iPad along with a MacBook and Apple TV for the classroom. Teachers have been given extensive training on the new technology.

“This allows Arthur to take the lead for us as we move down the road in one-to-one technology in instruction,” said Oklahoma City Public Schools Superintendent Rob Neu.
