$360,000 Available Through Mathematics and Science Partnership Grant

The Oklahoma State Department of Education (OSDE) is responsible for administering the Mathematics and Science Partnership (MSP) program funded under Title II, Part B of the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001. As a result of a successful request for an extension from the United States Department of Education, the OSDE is authorized to award $360,000 in competitive grants to improve the content knowledge of mathematics and science teachers to increase the achievement of their students.

Partnerships between college and university faculty, high-need school districts, and other qualifying partners are invited to propose projects that will design, implement, and evaluate learning experiences for mathematics and science teachers that deepen content knowledge and prepare them to pass the Oklahoma Subject Area Tests (OSAT) in the areas of Biological Science, Physical Science, and Intermediate Mathematics. For each OSAT area, a grant of $120,000 is available, and partnerships may compete for one or more areas for a maximum of $360,000.

The Request for Proposals and Proposal Framework are available at the MSP website at http://sde.ok.gov/MSP. Questions can be submitted to Levi.Patrick@sde.ok.gov. Applications are due Friday, September 6, 2019, by 5:00 p.m.
