As Oklahoma teachers prepare to take on the of relaunching school during this time of disruption, the Office of Curriculum and Instruction is working to support teachers in designing their in-person, blended, virtual, and temporarily blended learning plans and increase available options for enriching learning opportunities.

2015 Permanent Rules

Oklahoma State Department of Education administrative rules are published in Title 210 of the Oklahoma Administrative Code.  

EMERGENCY RULES IN EFFECT

The State Board of Education adopted the following emergency rule on September 28, 2023. This emergency rule took effect October 5, 2023 upon the Governor's approval.

210:10-1-24 Student Records

The State Board of Education adopted the following emergency rule on May 25, 2023. This emergency rule took effect June 8, 2023 upon the Governor's approval.

Open Records Act Requests - Information and Forms

An Open Records Request is a request made pursuant to the Oklahoma Open Records Act at 51 O.S. § 24A et. seq. The Open Records Act is a series of laws designed to guarantee that the public has access to public records of governmental bodies in Oklahoma. Oklahoma State Department of Education believes in transparency and supports the public’s right to know. The form and process listed below was developed to ensure compliance with the Open Records Act and facilitate the public's right to access and review our records.

210:1-1-2.  Definitions [AMENDED]

The Oklahoma State Department of Education (OSDE), Special Education Services (SES), and local educational agencies (LEA) have procedures for filing and resolving specific written complaints regarding alleged violations of the requirements under Part B of the IDEA. The complaint must be written and include a statement that the LEA has violated a requirement under IDEA, Part B, the facts on which the statement is based and the signature of the person(s) filing the complaint.
