Walters Blasts Biden’s Proposed Apprenticeship Rules

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Oklahoma City, Okla – State Superintendent Ryan Walters, joined by more than 25 state and federal officials, has issued a letter to the US Department of Labor condemning changes to the federal apprenticeship rules.

“Once again, the Biden Administration is completely out of touch with the needs of everyday Americans,” said Walters. “These proposed new rules stifle innovation, creating a top-down mess controlled by Washington bureaucrats. Even worse, the Biden Administration is engaged in little more than an illegal power grab of Career Technical Education (CTE) programs, which are successful largely because of their flexibility.”

“Apprenticeships and technical education are a pathway for thousands of Oklahomans to gain valuable skills and achieve lifelong success. Joe Biden must not get in between hard working Oklahoma families and their shot at the American dream.”
