Special Education | Oklahoma General Supervision System
The Oklahoma State Department of Education Special Education Services has a responsibility, under federal law, to have a system of general supervision in place. This system, known as the General Supervision System, monitors the implementation of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act (IDEA) by local education agencies (LEAs).The General Supervision System is designed to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, as well as improve services for students with disabilities.
