Student Advisory Council 2017 Group

The Oklahoma State Department of Education holds its Superintendent’s Student Advisory Council with students across the state. All members of the council are nominated by the superintendents of their districts and came to the meeting prepared to discuss their top concerns for public education in Oklahoma.

We are currently accepting applications for Superintendent Hofmeister’s Student Advisory Council. We will select students from across Oklahoma to participate in this Council. Your district superintendent must recommend you for this council by completing the form below. District superintendents may only nominate ONE student from their district. For districts with more than 10,000 students, we will accept an application from TWO students. Applications are due by November 15, 2021.

The Student Advisory Council will meet twice during the 2022 spring semester. Meetings will be held at the State Capitol, if possible, but may be scheduled via Zoom if appropriate due to the status of COVID-19 in Oklahoma at that time. If the meetings are held in person, students will need to provide their own transportation.
