Oklahoma City, (January 25, 2017) - Since being named Oklahoma’s Teacher of the Year, one of the questions that I am most often asked goes something like this: “After 34 years in the classroom, how do you keep from being burned out?” Or, “How do you keep your passion after all these years?”
OKLAHOMA CITY (Jan. 25, 2017) – Two Oklahoma high school students have been named this year’s state delegates to the 55th annual U.S. Senate Youth Program (USSYP), which brings together two student leaders from every state and Washington D.C. for a week-long trip to the nation’s capital.
Pranoy Behera of Bartlesville High School and Andrew (Drew) Hill of Norman North High School will join 102 other delegates from around the country March 4-11 in Washington D.C.
OKLAHOMA CITY (Jan. 19, 2017) – Many of Oklahoma’s student leaders met this morning with State Superintendent of Public Instruction Joy Hofmeister to discuss the state’s public education system and share their ideas about how to strengthen it. The gathering marked the first meeting of the 2017-2018 Superintendent’s Advisory Council, which consists of 99 high school students from across the state, 31 of whom are returning members who served on last year’s inaugural council.
