American Indian Advisory Council expresses concern over budget cuts

OKLAHOMA CITY (August 10, 2016) – The impact of reduced education funding on students was a top concern of attendees of the Oklahoma Advisory Council on Indian Education at their July 20 meeting.

OKLAHOMA CITY (August 8, 2016) –Today, the Oklahoma State Department of Education debuted its second Elevate+, “Dear Freshman: Advice From Upperclassmen.” In the video segment, recent graduates and members of the Class of ’17 school the Class of ’20 on everything they need to know to make the transition to high school.
 
Last year’s upperclassmen – who graduated from or attend high schools in Weatherford, Broken Arrow, Alva, Spiro, Claremore, Muskogee, Duncan and Piedmont – advise new Oklahoma freshmen how to find balance between schoolwork and activit
