State Superintendent of Public Instruction Joy Hofmeister will testify to the U.S. House of Representatives Subcommittee on Early Childhood, Elementary and Secondary Education on Wednesday, Feb. 10, at 9 a.m. (Central time) in Washington, D.C.
During the hearing, entitled “Next steps for K-12 education: Implementing the promise to restore state and local control,” Hofmeister will discuss the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) and the importance of state and local control over public education.
