Textbook Substitution Bid Eligibility
___Must have an existing accepted bid in Oklahoma
___Must list the number of the pre-existing State contract
___Must submit the “intent to substitute” in writing specifying the book or series of books the publishing company intends to substitute, the book or series of books the substitution will replace. [On company letterhead, dated, signed/name/title], [2 certified copies through U.S. mail received by January 5, 2024].
___Must confirm that the quality of the book is equal to or better than the book on the list
___Must briefly explain the changes in the new edition
___Must describe how the changes are/are not so drastically changed as to make it difficult to use the new editions simultaneously with the old edition already in use in the classroom.
___Must agree not to have a price in excess of the lowest price at which the same textbook during the 12 months preceding the date of submitting a new or revised edition.
___ Must confirm that the old edition has not been sold in classroom quantities in the state.
___ Must NOT be in the last year of the contract. Excluded subjects: Creative Arts, Educational Technology, Computer Science, Early Childhood, Mathematics PreK-12th.
___ All final materials are published and received in their final form by 1/5/2024 at 12:00pm central time.
