2024 Instructional Materials Content Expert Application Now Open!

The Oklahoma State Department of Education (OSDE) seeks applicants to serve as content experts for the subject cycle review of instructional materials submitted to the Oklahoma State Textbook Committee (STC) for their consideration and approval. Go to the STC page for the most current subject cycle information. The 2024 subject cycle is Fine Arts, Computer Science, and Technology Education.

Individuals selected to serve on the STC Content Review Teams review materials utilizing a rubric adopted by the STC and access all vendor-based materials to review for their subject area.

Content Review Teams selected for the state cycle for PK-12 Fine Arts, Computer Science, and Technology Education are currently reviewing:

• Grades PK-12 Fine Arts

• Grades PK-12 Computer Science

• Grades PK-12 Technology Education

Content Review Team Member Expectations

• July 2024- Attend a training for the instructional material evaluation rubric and review process
• August-October 2024- Meet virtually every two weeks and as needed, with other content review team members and OSDE staff, outside of school hours, to discuss and reconcile reviews of materials.
• October 2024- Attend meeting to discuss and reconcile reviews of instructional materials with OSDE staff.

All meetings are anticipated to occur virtually.
