Ada schools’ aviation program inspires students to explore STEM careers
ADA (Sept. 26, 2018) – Until two years ago, all Tanner Gilliam thought about was football. That was before Ada High School introduced students to planes and the forces of flight. Now, the senior dreams of attending the Air Force Academy and saving lives as an air evacuation helicopter pilot.
Types of Student Devices
As districts move towards 21st century learning and either purchase devices for students or integrate students’ devices, there are three main categories of devices. First, you have the traditional computers that have been around since the 70s & 80s. Next, you have the mobile computers that had been around for just over a decade. Finally, you have the browser-based devices that focus on doing everything through a browser.
This table details the differences of these three types of devices and the pros and cons of each.
OKLAHOMA CITY (Sept. 25, 2018) – Donna Gradel, 2018 Oklahoma Teacher of the Year, will officially launch her yearlong tour of Oklahoma this week, vowing to visit schools in all 77 counties by June 30.
Gradel has been speaking across the state since assuming her full-time Teacher of the Year duties July 1, but with the new school year now in full swing, her focus is connecting with teachers in their classrooms. On Wednesday, she will visit Putnam Heights Elementary in Oklahoma City Public Schools and Putnam City West High School in Putnam City Schools.
