More than $830,000 in AVID grants earned by select Oklahoma schools

OKLAHOMA CITY (March 9, 2015) — The Oklahoma State Department of Education recently awarded grants totaling $837,000 to selected Oklahoma schools for Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID). The program allows schools to teach college-readiness courses, helping close the achievement gap by preparing all students for the demands of college and the workplace.
