Think Through Math Students Donate to Tornado Victims
Think Through Math representatives presented a check for $11,873 to the Central Oklahoma Chapter of the American Red Cross at the June 27, 2013, State Board of Education meeting.
Project Meet the Need
In response to recent tornadoes, floods and other storms, State Superintendent Janet Barresi has invited any affected Oklahoma educator to share a list of classroom needs.
These needs are posted below. The public is invited to donate to help meet the need.
Superintendent Barresi and her staff will deliver these supplies to affected educators before the start of school this fall.
Parents of Oklahoma students are invited to attend Parent Power Night at the State Department of Education’s Vision 2020 Conference.
Parent Power Night is Tuesday, July 9 at the Cox Convention Center in Oklahoma City. The event will start with a reception, attended by State Superintendent Janet Barresi from 5:15 to 6 p.m. Light refreshments will be served. Informational sessions will be from 6 to 6:45 and 7 to 7:45 p.m.
