The State Department of Education has made the following changes to its professional development schedule for Monday, Nov. 17, because of weather conditions.
The Kingfisher PASS-Plus academy for English and math teachers and the Town Hall meeting have been canceled because of inclement weather.
Science standards workshops will still take place in Woodward.
LETRS literacy training at Rose State College will start at 11 a.m.

This past week I got to spend the day with teacher candidates at Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU) in Weatherford. It was a great opportunity to talk with future teachers.

The following rules were approved by the State Board of Education and have been submitted to the legislature for review. Administrative rules must receive the approval of the legislature and the Governor before they may be implemented.
