Indicator 10


Each Local Educational Agency (LEA) must have a rate of identification of students with a disability in each category compared to the State average or an LEA's identification for all students with disabilities. The minimum criteria is determined with stakeholder input. The purpose ensures all races/ethnicities in a specific disability category are not over identified.

• Percent of students with disabilities disproportionate representation of racial and ethnic groups in specific disability categories due to the inappropriate identification in specific disability categories.
