Differentiated Monitoring Results

The Differentiated Monitoring Result (DMR) system expands state monitoring of district performance into two areas beyond Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) compliance.  The DMR level of support is determined through a comparison of the Local Education Agencies (LEA’s) determination rating and risk score. An LEA will be placed in the level of support that corresponds to the determination rating or risk score that demonstrates the greatest need in the district. Each level of support initiates a series of integrated monitoring and improvement activities intended to assist the LEA in meeting requirements and mitigating risk in subsequent years. For the designated level of support, please refer to your LEA’s annual determination letter provided each November.  Refer to the General Supervision System (GSS) Manual for additional information.
