Oklahoma Pre-K Screening Tool (PKST)
State screening tool for Pre-K students.
 
Webinar providing an overview of administering the WIDA K Screener initial administration, early administration, best practices, potential conflicts, and additional administration.
 
An LEA wishing to reidentify a kindergarten student that has previously scored proficient on the oral language composite of the WIDA Kindergarten Screener administered 1st semester must complete this form, attach it to the student’s HLS, and keep a copy in the student’s cumulative folder.  
 
Due to the paper-only format of the WIDA Kindergarten Screener assessment, a participating student demonstrating English language proficiency (5.0 or above) may generate an EL conflict in the Accountability Reporting application, particularly if identified as EL in Pre-K. In these cases, the LEA will need to utilize the following process to document the proficient screener in Accountability Reporting and resolve the conflict. 
 
LEA wishing to screen a student with an all-English Home Language Survey (HLS) or to reidentify a student that has previously scored proficient on the WIDA ACCESS or Screener or exited via the ELP Band Committee Exit Request must complete this form.
