Sustainable Teaming Systems

The function of a  Tier 1 team establishes the systems and practices for universal support. This team monitors school-wide data, ensures students receive equitable access to these supports, and evaluates the program’s overall effectiveness. These resources are for schools to use when creating a diverse school climate team and to ensure the team is able to effectively communicate initiatives to the learning community and stakeholders.


Leadership Support

The purpose of Leadership Support is to provide leadership for the development, implementation, and evaluation of universal procedures in the entire building for all students and staff.

Diverse Team

Effective teams includes a include an individual who has knowledge, expertise, and the ability to provide coaching/support about the impact of trauma, a school administrator, a family member, and individuals able to provide applied behavioral  expertise, coaching expertise, knowledge of student academic and behavior patterns, knowledge about the operations of the school across grade levels and programs, and for high schools, student representation, that reflect student and community demographics.To effectively and efficiently complete their work, membership of the Tier 1 Leadership Team should be representative of the school as a whole.

Action Plan The long-term action plan guides the creation and implementation of best practices, it is used for 1-3 year planning goals. The short-term action plan guides the creation and implementation of best practices, it is used for goal achievement in 1-6 months.
